Colombia Secures Victory Over Spain in Friendly Match

In a thrilling friendly match held at West Ham’s London Stadium, Colombia emerged victorious over Spain, with defender Daniel Munoz scoring the sole goal of the game. Munoz, a recent acquisition from Genk, showcased his talent with an acrobatic volley, capitalizing on a superb play initiated by Liverpool’s Luis Diaz on the left wing.

The goal proved to be decisive as Colombia managed to maintain their lead until the final whistle, securing a notable victory over the Spanish national team. The defeat marked Spain’s first loss in a friendly match since June 2016, when they were defeated by Georgia.

Despite the loss, Spain introduced three debutants into the international scene, including 17-year-old Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsi, who showcased promising talent on his maiden appearance for La Roja. The other debutants, Real Sociedad goalkeeper Alex Remiro and Athletic Bilbao defender Daniel Vivian, also made significant contributions in their first outing for the national team.
