Coldplay’s ‘Music of the Spheres Tour’ Becomes First Rock Tour to Gross Over $1 Billion

Coldplay’s ‘Music of the Spheres Tour’ has made history by becoming the first rock music tour to surpass $1 billion in gross revenue, according to Billboard. This milestone marks a significant achievement in the music industry, as the tour eclipsed Sir Elton John’s five-year farewell tour to become the highest-grossing rock tour ever.

The British band now holds the record for the first rock tour to officially report a global gross exceeding $1 billion, a feat previously achieved only by Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras’ tour last year.

Nigerian artists also made notable appearances during the tour, with Ayra Starr joining Coldplay in Italy and Burna Boy making a guest appearance in Dublin.
