CNG Warns FCT Minister Wike Against Intimidating Bauchi State

The Coalition of Northern Group (CNG) issued a stern warning against the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, accusing him of attempting to intimidate Bauchi State. The group’s statement, signed by its National Coordinator, Comrade Jamilu Aliyu Charanchi, condemned what it described as Wike’s “disgraceful and thuggish” behavior during a recent live television appearance.

The CNG expressed outrage over Wike’s alleged threats toward Bauchi State, labeling his remarks as a serious affront to the people of the state and a challenge to the peace and stability of Northern Nigeria. The group emphasized that it would not tolerate any form of intimidation or bullying from Wike, warning that they were prepared to respond with equal force to any threats.

In their statement, the CNG criticized Wike’s appointment in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, calling it a “tragedy for Nigeria” that someone with such a “glaring lack of respect for the rule of law and civil discourse” holds a high office in the Federal Government. The group urged President Tinubu to reconsider Wike’s inclusion in his government, arguing that the Nigerian people deserve leaders committed to unity and stability.

The CNG concluded by reaffirming their commitment to defending Northern Nigeria against any form of aggression or intimidation, stating that they are ready to stand against Wike or anyone who poses a threat to their region.
