Chike Ibezim Arraigned for Allegedly Defaming Former Minister Babatunde Fashola

Chike Ibezim has been arraigned by the Federal Government before a Federal High Court in Abuja for allegedly defaming former Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola. Ibezim, along with two others, was charged with six counts, including criminal conspiracy, for claiming that Fashola authored a judgment in favor of the All Progressives Congress in a presidential election petition case. Fashola dismissed the accusation as unfounded and libelous, labeling those behind it as “instigators of unrest.” The case has been adjourned till April 15 for continuation of trial.
