In the midst of intense transfer speculations, Chelsea Football Club has intensified its pursuit of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen by initiating discussions with his representatives regarding personal terms.
According to transfer expert Rudy Galetti, Chelsea is among the prominent European clubs vying for Osimhen’s signature and has commenced negotiations with his agents to secure favorable terms.
Osimhen, who hails from Lagos, Nigeria, has reportedly emerged as the primary transfer target for Chelsea, a club he passionately supported during his formative years. Despite currently enjoying a lucrative salary of approximately Nine Million Euros per year at Napoli, where he extended his contract until June 2026, Osimhen is expected to seek a substantial pay raise in potential future endeavors.
Given Chelsea’s financial prowess, they are well-positioned to meet Osimhen’s salary demands. Once personal terms are agreed upon, the club is poised to initiate discussions with Napoli, the player’s current club. Napoli has reportedly set a staggering 130 million Euros exit clause in Osimhen’s new contract, indicative of their determination to retain the prolific striker’s services.
However, Chelsea faces competition from London rivals Arsenal, who are also prepared to offer lucrative terms to secure Osimhen’s services. The battle for Osimhen’s signature underscores his coveted status in the transfer market and the eagerness of top clubs to bolster their attacking options with his formidable talent.
