Chelsea Football Club is poised to potentially thwart Paris Saint-Germain’s efforts to acquire Victor Osimhen from Napoli this summer, with the Nigerian striker reportedly favoring a move to Stamford Bridge.
Recent reports, as relayed by journalist Emanuele Cammaroto through Napoli Magazine, indicate that Chelsea has surged ahead as the leading contender to secure the services of Victor Osimhen, who clinched the top goal scorer title in Serie A last season. Despite reigning Ligue 1 champions PSG eyeing Osimhen as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, the player himself allegedly leans towards a move to Chelsea.
Napoli, the current club of Osimhen, is anticipated to demand a hefty transfer fee exceeding €130 million (£110 million) for their prized striker. However, both Chelsea and PSG are purportedly prepared to meet the financial demands, willing to shell out in excess of €100 million to secure Osimhen’s signature.
At 25 years old, Osimhen has showcased his prowess by netting nine goals and providing three assists in 19 appearances across all competitions in the ongoing season, making him an enticing prospect for top clubs like Chelsea and PSG.
