Meanwhile, Italian Jannik Sinner and Russia’s Daniil Medvedev also advanced to the quarter-finals. Sinner, the Australian Open champion, demonstrated his skill with a confident 6-4, 6-3 victory over Australian Christopher O’Connell. He will face Czech Tomas Machac in the quarter-finals after Machac’s impressive win over Matteo Arnaldi.

Medvedev, a formidable force on the court, secured his spot in the next round with a hard-fought victory against German Dominik Koepfer. The Russian triumphed in a tight first-set tiebreak before dominating the second set to claim a 7-6 (7-5), 6-0 win.
