Amid mounting speculation linking Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe with a move to Real Madrid, manager Carlo Ancelotti has downplayed the rumors, emphasizing his concentration on the ongoing season rather than potential transfers.
Mbappe’s reported intention to depart PSG upon the expiration of his contract this summer has fueled speculation about a potential move to Real Madrid, a club long admired by the French forward. However, Ancelotti remains unperturbed by the swirling rumors, emphasizing his focus on the immediate task at hand.
“I see and hear everything but nothing else,” Ancelotti told reporters. “I understand that it’s the topic of the day for you but not for us. We have prepared for tomorrow’s game and that’s what we have talked about, not about anything else. I’d like to work on this season; there’s a long time to go before next season.”
Despite the buzz surrounding Mbappe’s potential arrival, Ancelotti maintains that such speculation will not distract the squad from their pursuit of silverware across various competitions.
“If I’m worried about Mbappe, do you see me worried?” Ancelotti quipped. “I think it’s going to be the same for the next few press conferences; I’m not worried.”
Ancelotti also emphasized the importance of squad balance, acknowledging the talent and potential impact of Mbappe while emphasizing the need to maintain equilibrium within the team.
