CAN President Urges Christians to Embrace Unity and Love on Palm Sunday

On the occasion of Palm Sunday, the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Daniel Okoh, has called on Christians to embody the spirit of unity and love amidst the challenges facing the country. Palm Sunday, a significant feast in the Christian calendar, commemorates Jesus Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem.

In his message to Christians, Okoh emphasized the need to emulate the unity demonstrated by Jesus and the people of Jerusalem. He urged Nigerians to set aside differences and grievances, fostering harmony and reconciliation. Okoh highlighted the power of love to overcome adversity, emphasizing its role in bridging divides and fostering understanding.

Reflecting on Nigeria’s current state, Okoh urged action aligned with the principles of Palm Sunday. He encouraged Christians to serve as beacons of hope and catalysts for positive change in their communities. Okoh emphasized the importance of extending kindness to the marginalized and upholding justice for the oppressed.

As Christians embark on a period of reflection and renewal during Palm Sunday, Okoh called for adherence to Christ’s teachings and a commitment to unity, peace, justice, and solidarity. He expressed optimism that embracing these values would contribute to a stronger and more united Nigerian society.
