Burna Boy’s sixth studio album *Love, Damini* has reached a significant milestone, selling 500,000 units in the United States and earning an RIAA Gold plaque. Released in 2022, the album delivered several hit records that bolstered Burna Boy’s standing as one of Africa’s leading musical exports.
The album’s success was fueled by tracks like *Last Last*, which spent multiple weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 44. Another standout hit, *For My Hand*, featured Grammy-winning British artist Ed Sheeran, further boosting the album’s international appeal. Guest appearances from J Hus, J Balvin, and Khalid also contributed to its widespread popularity.
With this latest achievement, *Love, Damini* joins other Nigerian albums such as Wizkid’s *Made In Lagos*, Rema’s *Raves & Roses (Ultra)*, and Tems’ *For Broken Ears*, all of which have also received RIAA Gold certification. These albums share a common factor of having hit records that enjoyed success on the Billboard Hot 100, solidifying Nigerian artists’ growing influence on the global music scene.
