Burna Boy’s Grammy Performance Ranked No.6 on Billboard

Nigerian music sensation Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has garnered international acclaim for his electrifying performance at the 2024 Grammy Awards, earning the sixth spot on Billboard’s ranking list.

Burna Boy made history with his debut Grammy performance on Sunday, February 4, captivating audiences with his rendition of ‘Sittin on Top of the World,’ accompanied by Brandy and 21 Savage.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Billboard praised Burna Boy’s performance, highlighting the significance of his Afrobeats showcase on the Grammy stage. The publication remarked, “For the first Afrobeats performance at the 2024 Grammys, Burna Boy pulled out all the stops. Backed by Brandy’s gorgeous vocals and 21 Savage’s detached, confident cool, he sang ‘Sittin’ on Top of the World’ and demonstrated that is precisely where he belongs.”

While Burna Boy’s performance received widespread acclaim, South African singer Tyla secured a notable victory at the 2024 Grammy Awards by clinching the Best African Music Performance award.
