British-Nigerian actress Laura Lake Adebisi has sparked controversy by stating that Nigeria should never have been formed as a country, citing deep ideological differences between the North and South. In a viral video, Adebisi criticized the British government’s role in preventing Biafra’s secession, accusing them of enabling Nigeria’s government to maintain control for exploitation.
“The footprints of colonialism are over Nigeria. Nigeria should have never been a country!” she said, arguing that the division imposed during colonialism continues to shape the nation’s struggles.
