Boston Honors Burna Boy: March 2nd Declared as ‘Burna Boy Day

 

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, basks in the recognition bestowed upon him by the city of Boston, Massachusetts, in the United States. The Boston City Council recently declared March 2nd as “Burna Boy’s Day” as a tribute to the artist’s outstanding performances and advocacy efforts.

During the Boston leg of his ‘I Told Them’ tour, Burna Boy was presented with a plaque by the Boston City Council, symbolizing the city’s appreciation for his contributions. Sharing the moment on social media, Burna Boy posted a photo of himself lifting the plaque on stage, expressing his gratitude, “I feel incredibly honored and privileged! Thank you Boston! The goal has always been the same, to bring the world together. We are all so different but all the same! 2nd of March a.k.a Burna Boy Day.”
