Bobrisky Demands Open Investigation into Alleged N15 Million Bribery Scandal

Nigerian cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has called for an open and independent investigation into the allegations that he attempted to bribe operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with N15 million. The accusations were made by activist and influencer Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, who released an audio clip of Bobrisky allegedly admitting to the bribe in an effort to evade prison time.

Bobrisky has vehemently denied the claims, describing the audio as fake. In a cryptic post on social media, he hinted at contemplating suicide but later dismissed those fears, calling for a fair investigation. “I am ready for any investigation, but not in the same EFCC office where I was detained… I demand an independent and open investigation for the world to see,” he wrote on Instagram.

He further reiterated that the audio clip could have been altered, asserting his readiness to defend himself in court. “Anybody can alter any audio… The fact remains that I am not the maker of the audio and didn’t publish any audio,” Bobrisky said, challenging those who released the recording to take responsibility for it.

The socialite maintained that he is prepared to face any legal proceedings arising from the allegations.
