Barcelona Football Club is reportedly on the brink of parting ways with Hansi Flick, as they turn their attention towards Roberto De Zerbi as their prime candidate to succeed Xavi Hernandez. This decision comes after the club relinquished hopes of securing Mikel Arteta for the managerial position.

The decision to move away from Flick stems from concerns regarding his suitability for the Camp Nou role, despite his past successes, notably achieving a sextuple triumph with Bayern Munich. However, subsequent endeavors with the German national team and elsewhere have cast doubts on his ability to lead Barcelona forward, prompting President Joan Laporta to exclude him from the shortlist, as per reports.
Roberto De Zerbi, a 44-year-old strategist, has now captured Barcelona’s attention due to his impressive track record and alignment with the club’s footballing philosophy. While De Zerbi may lack direct experience in La Liga, his tactical acumen and commitment to expansive, aesthetically pleasing football resonate well with Barcelona’s traditions.
