Australia Secure Series Sweep with Six-Wicket Victory Over Scotland

Australia claimed their third consecutive win in the T20 international series against Scotland with a six-wicket triumph at The Grange in Edinburgh. Despite a valiant effort from the Scots, including a standout 56 from Brandon McMullen, Australia successfully chased down a target of 150 in 16.1 overs.

Scotland’s Innings: Scotland, after being put into bat, posted 149-9 in their 20 overs. Opener George Munsey contributed 25, while McMullen once again anchored the innings with a brilliant 56. His knock was cut short by a stunning one-handed catch from Travis Head, preventing further damage. Although Michael Leask and Mark Watt offered some resistance in the middle order, Scotland’s lower order collapsed, limiting them to a modest total.

Australia’s Response: Brad Currie gave Scotland early hope, dismissing openers Jake Fraser-McGurk for a duck and Travis Head for 12. However, Mitchell Marsh (31) and Cameron Green (62) stabilized Australia’s innings with a crucial 61-run partnership. Green’s powerful knock, featuring four sixes, guided Australia closer to victory. Tim David added a quick 25, and Aaron Hardie sealed the win with a boundary, finishing off the chase comfortably.
