Aurelien Tchouameni has shed light on the discussions within the Real Madrid squad regarding the potential arrival of Kylian Mbappe this summer, admitting that the topic holds significant importance among players.
With Mbappe heavily linked to a move to the Bernabeu, recent reports have suggested that the French superstar has made a decision to join Real Madrid on a free transfer when his Paris Saint-Germain contract expires. Real Madrid’s pursuit of Mbappe has been ongoing for some time, and Tchouameni, who shares the field with Mbappe for France, acknowledges that the squad is already engaged in conversations about his possible arrival. However, there are reports indicating that Real Madrid may need to enhance their offer to secure his signature.
Speaking to Relevo, Tchouameni stated, “We talk about it in the locker room because we know that it is an important issue. This has been the case for quite a few years. So we hope that things will be resolved in the coming weeks.”
When asked if Mbappe had personally discussed the prospect of joining Real Madrid with him, Tchouameni remained tight-lipped, stating, “To me, personally, he didn’t announce anything. Besides, if he had told me, I wouldn’t say it!”
Mbappe’s future remains a subject of intense speculation, with the French forward continuing to play a pivotal role in PSG’s campaign, having scored 30 goals in 29 games across all competitions this season. For Real Madrid, securing Mbappe’s services could potentially bolster their pursuit of both La Liga and Champions League success.
