Atlanta Falcons Secure First Win of 2024 Season with Late Drama Against Philadelphia Eagles

The Atlanta Falcons claimed their first victory of the 2024 NFL season in a thrilling 22-21 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. The game was decided in the final moments, with wide receiver Drake London scoring a touchdown with just 38 seconds left on the clock to level the game at 21-21. Kicker Younghoe Koo then converted the extra point, securing the win for Atlanta.

The Falcons had entered the fourth quarter with a 15-10 lead, but the Eagles responded with 11 unanswered points, seemingly taking control of the game. However, London’s last-minute touchdown turned the tide for Atlanta.

Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins had a strong game, throwing two touchdowns, including a 41-yard strike to Darnell Mooney early in the third quarter. Mooney added flair to his score by performing a front flip as he crossed into the end zone.

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was instrumental in both of Philadelphia’s touchdowns, connecting with DeVonta Smith for the first and rushing for another midway through the fourth quarter.

With both teams now sitting at one win and one defeat after two rounds, the season remains wide open for both the Falcons and Eagles.
