Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar arrived in Benin City, Edo State, to participate in the final rally of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the gubernatorial election scheduled for September 21.
Accompanied by Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Atiku’s visit marks a significant moment as the PDP ramps up its campaign efforts. On Saturday, Atiku, along with several PDP governors, members of the National Working Committee (NWC), and other party leaders, paid a visit to Sir Chief Dr. Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin Kingdom, at his residence.
The PDP’s final rally in Benin City is expected to be a pivotal event in the lead-up to the gubernatorial election.
