APC’s Okpebholo Pledges Inclusive Governance Ahead of Edo Election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the upcoming September 21 election, Monday Okpebholo, has vowed to be a governor for all Edo people, rather than focusing on any specific region within the state.

Speaking at a ward-to-ward campaign in Iguobazuwa, Ovia South West Local Government Area, Okpebholo assured voters that his administration would ensure that government presence is felt throughout the state if he is elected. “If I become the governor, I will not be governor of Edo Central but governor for all Edo people and government presence will be felt across the state,” he declared, promising to address the challenges facing the state.

Supporting his campaign, APC’s House of Representatives candidate Dennis Idahosa called on the people of Ovia to back the party, highlighting the shift of local political leaders to the APC. Former House of Representatives member Omosede Igbinedion also urged the community to vote for the APC, emphasizing her support for Okpebholo.

In Ugbogui, former Edo State governor Adams Oshiomhole rallied support for Okpebholo, confidently predicting that the community would turn out to vote for the APC on election day. “I know you people will come out and vote for APC on September 21,” Oshiomhole stated, reminding voters of their past support for Dennis Idahosa.
