Executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Ward in Kano State have denied any involvement in the suspension of the party’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje. The rebuttal was made by the ward’s Legal Adviser, Halliru Gwanzo, during a solidarity visit to Ganduje at the party secretariat.
Gwanzo clarified that he and the ward executives knew nothing about the suspension and disassociated themselves from the decision. This statement contradicts his earlier remarks attributing Ganduje’s suspension to the APC ward leadership, citing bribery charges filed against Ganduje by the Kano State Government.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja, Gwanzo expressed surprise at seeing his name listed as one of the plaintiffs in a court case against Ganduje. He claimed to have been impersonated and urged the ruling party to investigate the matter thoroughly and punish those responsible.
