Anthony Joshua Eyes September Fight at Wembley Stadium

British heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua is gearing up for his next big showdown, and he’s eyeing Wembley Stadium as the venue for his upcoming bout in September. The 34-year-old fighter, who last stopped Francis Ngannou in March, is on a winning streak and eager to continue his success in the ring.

Speaking to TalkSport, Joshua expressed his readiness for the upcoming fight and confirmed that it would take place at Wembley Stadium, either on the 20th or 21st of September. With Matchroom planning the event, anticipation is building for another thrilling night of boxing action in London.

Joshua’s potential opponents include the winner of the Daniel Dubois vs. Filip Hrgovic or Deontay Wilder vs. Zhilei Zhang matchups. All four heavyweights are set to face off on June 1st as part of Matchroom Boxing’s event in Saudi Arabia, featuring a five-versus-five card against Queensberry Promotions.

The fight against Wilder holds particular significance for Joshua, as they were initially slated to meet last March before Wilder’s surprising loss to Joseph Parker in December. However, Wilder, undeterred by his defeat, has expressed confidence in a future showdown with Joshua, stating that there’s a high likelihood of the fight happening.
