The Anambra Motor Manufacturing Company (ANAMMCO) has called upon governments at all levels and corporate organizations to prioritize the patronage of locally-made vehicles. Emphasizing the potential for job creation and economic growth, ANAMMCO highlighted the durability and affordability of its trucks, tailored specifically for Nigerian roads and fuel conditions.
During a news conference at the ongoing 35th Enugu International Trade Fair, General Manager Chinelo Igwe emphasized the importance of supporting locally-made products. ANAMMCO’s trucks are designed with Nigerian conditions in mind, featuring ruggedness, simplicity, and lower fuel consumption to suit the country’s infrastructure and economy.
Igwe stressed that increased patronage of locally-made vehicles would lead to heightened production levels, subsequently generating significant employment opportunities and curbing crime rates, especially among youths. ANAMMCO’s partnership with Dongfeng aims to produce a range of trucks capable of withstanding the challenges of Nigerian roads while facilitating the transportation of goods nationwide.
Furthermore, ANAMMCO provides a one-year service warranty on its trucks and has established service workshops across all 36 states in collaboration with GUO Motors. With readily available parts and a dedicated team of professionals, the company ensures prompt after-sales service and repairs for its customers.
Highlighting ANAMMCO’s commitment to using locally sourced materials and employing skilled workers, Igwe reiterated the company’s desire for massive patronage to optimize its production capacity and create additional job opportunities for Nigerian youths.
Director-General of the Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Mr Uche Uba, lauded ANAMMCO for its longstanding reputation in producing durable and high-quality vehicles. He affirmed that ANAMMCO trucks exemplify the standards of a Nigerian manufacturing company capable of competing internationally while offering affordability and reliability.
