Title: Anambra Governor Soludo Criticizes Local Government Chairman Over Road Encroachment

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has publicly criticized Paschal Aniegbuna, the transition committee chairman for Ogbaru Local Government Area (LGA), for allowing the construction of a fence encroaching on a designated walkway along a major road.

In a video circulating online, Governor Soludo expressed visible anger during a road inspection in the state, demanding an explanation for the unauthorized construction along the Ododoukwu road in Okpoko under Ogbaru LGA.

The governor, visibly displeased, directed the LGA chairman to immediately dismantle the building, warning of potential dismissal if swift action was not taken.

Soludo’s stern words were captured in the video: “Which building is being built here? You need to bulldoze it. If I come here again and I see any of this rubbish, I will sack you publicly. You are incompetent.”

He further questioned why the construction was allowed to proceed unchecked, emphasizing the importance of preserving the designated walkway for pedestrians.

Expressing determination to enforce accountability, Soludo vowed to identify and take action against anyone responsible for approving the encroachment.

Additionally, the governor ordered the demolition of all shanties and shops obstructing the road to facilitate the construction of a proper pedestrian walkway.
