British singer Adele, a 16-time Grammy winner, has announced her decision to go on sabbatical. During her concert in Munich on Saturday, Adele told attendees that she needs “a rest” after years of relentless work. The star, who has been at the pinnacle of the music industry for nearly a decade, emphasized her desire to finally enjoy the fruits of her labor.
“It has been amazing, I just need a rest. I have spent the last 7 years building a life for myself, and I want to live it now,” Adele shared with her fans.
This announcement comes shortly after Adele confirmed her engagement to American sports agent Rich Paul. The ‘Hello’ hitmaker revealed her upcoming marriage during a performance in Munich on August 9.
