Adamawa State Police Command Arrests 58 Suspected Criminals in Statewide Raid

The Adamawa State Police Command has made a significant breakthrough in its efforts to combat crime, apprehending 58 suspected criminals following a coordinated raid across various locations in the state.

Addressing journalists in Yola, the state capital, Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Dankombo Morris, disclosed the details of the operation. Among the arrested individuals, 40 young men were identified as members of the notorious group known as ‘Shila boys.’ Additionally, 11 suspects were apprehended for alleged involvement in kidnapping, while seven were linked to armed robbery activities.

Commissioner Morris emphasized that discreet investigations have commenced into the cases, with plans underway to prosecute those found guilty in a court of law.

During the raid, law enforcement officers recovered significant evidence and assets from the suspects. These included a Toyota Prado Jeep with registration No. ABJ344HX, an 18-seat bus with registration No. RSH79FA, two AK-47 rifles accompanied by 25 rounds of live ammunition, N10,690.00 in cash, a leather pouch containing charms and rings, a power bank, and two GSM handsets.
