15 Islamic Education Pupils and Woman Abducted in Sokoto Village

The Sokoto State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of 15 Islamic education pupils and a woman in Gidan Bakuso, a village in the Gada Local Government Area of the state. According to ASP Ahmad Rufa’i, the spokesperson for the command, the abduction occurred in the early hours of Saturday, with the perpetrators exploiting the village’s remote location to carry out their nefarious activities.

Rufa’i highlighted the lack of access roads to some villages as a major challenge faced by security agencies in the state, hampering the swift response to such incidents. However, he assured that the command’s tactical team had been mobilized to rescue the victims, emphasizing that security agencies were actively working to resolve the situation.

The spokesperson appealed to the public to provide any relevant information that could aid ongoing rescue efforts, urging collaborative efforts between the community and security agencies to ensure the safe return of the abducted individuals.
