Fire Marshalls give safety tips to LHF students
Pictures by Jeanette Korth
Fire marshals, James Sloup and Raymond Nance, brought their fire safety message to Holy Family students on November 4, 2008.
Students learned tips on how to safely use and store household items such as space heaters, candles, stoves, even matches. They emphasized the need to replace the batteries in their home’s smoke alarms twice a year. Students had actual practice escaping a room filling with smoke, as the mobile teaching unit the marshals brought filled with smoke.

The marshals brought along a “special little friend” named Deputy Dan, the man with a plan, to help make the learning fun. We would like to thank the Lindsay Fire Department for making the arrangements to bring this presentation to Holy Family students.
