Local hay shed catches fire

The fire, August 26.

Late Tuesday, August 26,2008, the hay shed of David Fowlkes caught fire in the field behind his house. They had filled the shed with the hay after baling, and David was in the process of loading onto trucks for a sale.

One truck had been taken out and the other was to be loaded in the morning. The fire started shortly after midnight and was still going strong at 10am Wednesday, August 27.

This fire has not only affected David, but his entire family, as they help with the farm duties. Theyare truly a farm family.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
