The night was pleasantly warm with NO BUGS! The event was very well attended by friends and family throughout the area. There was musical entertainment with the choir from Lindsay Holy Family and our own Paradise band.

Phyllis Weitzel was in the front row of the Lindsay Holy Family choir ... smiling and singing some old favorites.
This was an important event; a benefit to help with her medical expenses this past year. Parking was an issue - with so many people coming to show their love and appreciation for our Phyllis.
It was the first of June and the weather was perfect! When you are having an outside event (in the new Fire Hall) weather is a factor. And it was beautiful.
This kind of event brings so many people together; parents, grandparents and kids everywhere. The Firemen even gave some rides around town on the fire truck.
Everyone signed in and at the end of the evening they had more than 600, and adding in all the workers and volunteers, they had a huge crowd. It was just a small indication of how these people feel about this lady.
So many of those attended remarked on how nice the event was.

Phyllis Weitzel went from table to table, smiling all the time.

Phyllis told us, “Words can’t quite convey how I feel. It’s just overwhelming. Someone had given me a plaque that reads: A small town is like a big family. How very true.”
When there is a need - there is no better place to live than a small town.
