The gymnasium was fi lled with the Alumni being honored and more. Though the skies were "dripping" when everyone arrived, the storm didn’t hit until the meal began - then cleared up when the evening concluded.

One of the busiest weekends of the year went very well - with get togethers in buildings and houses all around town - the banquet and Memorial Day activities.
The weather cooperated - to a point. It seems to be tradition to have a storm of some sort during the banquet and it happened again this year. We even saw some storm chasers out south of town (see pic).
However, the sun was shining and the wind was blowing during the afternoon parties. (Photos of those events will be in the NG Reporter next week, we were unable to get all the names in time for publication this week.)
For two of the classes the events began on Friday night at the Albion Country Club for dinner. The 60 year class (1948) and the 55 year class (1953) gathered together for dinner, lots of laughter and reminiscing.
The banquet was full with dinner catered by Julie Benson and Carol Laudenklos.
Persons addressing the crowd for their class were: 1958 Jackie Loeske; 1948 Neva (Olson) Adamson; 1968 Kathy (Jacobson) Nathan; 1983 Justin King; 1953 Ruth (Jacobson) Stone; 1963 Roger Lyon; 1938 Jerry Larsen.
The one who came the furthest was Patty Johnson Griffi th, from San Clemente, CA. The oldest was Stacia Steensnes of the Class of 1937.
Renee Rose presided over the business meeting.
Next year’s President is Gale Barnes, Secretary/Treasurer is Deanna Barnes. They are still looking for someone to volunteer as Vice President.
