Andrew Kurtenbach breaks LHF school record

Andrew Kurtenbach smashed the Holy Family 800 Meter school record of 2:02.6 at the Humphrey/Clarkson invite by running a runner-up 2:00.81. “It was nice for Andrew to break the record today, but I don’t think he is ready to peak just yet,” commented Coach Jeff Brownfield.

Kurtenbach was one of many Holy Family runners to post very good times. Kurtenbach along with Grant Wiese and Lucas Weeder ran personal bests in the open 400 M with marks of 53.9 (2nd), 54.73 (5th), 54.91 (7th), respectively.

In the 800 M Kurtenbach again led the Bulldogs followed by Lucas Weeder and Alex Schumacher placing 2nd 2:00.81, 4th 2:08.58, and 5th 2:09.10.

Kevin Weeder kept up his winning ways steamrolling to a personal best in the 1600 M placing 1st with a time of 4:50.4.

Other Bulldogs placing were Jacob Preister 5th 110 Hurdles; Kelan Schumacher 5th 3200; 3200 Relay Team of Shawn Korth, Kyle Wegener, Kelan Schumacher and Kevin Weeder 4th; 1600 Meter Relay Team of Mitch Kurtenbach, Andrew Kurtenbach, Kyle Wegener and Lucas Weeder.
