Lady Jays raise record
The Newman Grove Lady Jays volleyball team has gotten the season to a great start, reaching a 5-2 record after beating Leigh and Howells.
The match against Leigh on September 14 was a bit of a nail biter, with the Jays dropping the first two games. The third game marked a narrow turning point when Newman Grove squeaked out a 26-24 victory.
The Jays went on to win game 4 pretty handily, and took the tie breaker by three points.
