Strongs take part in production

Aubrey and Emily Strong were two of 40 some area youth who participated in the Missoula Children’s Theatre production of the “Princess and the Pea.” Auditions were held Monday, June 21st, with practice all week long. The performance was Saturday, June 26th, at 3pm and 7pm.

Aubrey played the role of a wannabe Princess from the valley and Emily was the Princess.

As this was not the girl’s first MCT performance, they had a great time catching up with old friends. A lot goes into pulling off these productions in such a short amount of time, and the kids learn so many different aspects of the theatre: from dancing to singing to speaking in a different accent.

The MCT Actors/Director travel all around the country taking with them all of the props, scenery, costumes and makeup needed for the performance.

This year there were youth from 9 area communities represented in the play ranging from the age of 5 to 18. The girls had a super time and did a great job. They would like to thank the Albion Area Arts Council and all those who had a role in making this opportunity available each year.
