Lindsay Holy Family Football vs. Ewing
On October 29, 2009, the Bulldogs traveled up to Ewing for the opening round of playoffs. The Bulldogs received the ball first and started their offense. The Bulldogs couldn’t get anything going in the first quarter. At the end of the first quarter, the score was Ewing 12 LHF 0. In the second quarter the Bulldogs found the end zone with a pass from Kurtenbach to McPhillips to make the score 6 to 19.
The Bulldogs scored at the end of half with a touchdown pass from Kurtenbach to McPhillips to make the score 14 to 39 at the half. In the 3rd quarter, the Bulldogs had to battle 5 turnovers, and Ewing took control 54 to 14 at the end of the quarter. In the fourth quarter the Bulldogs scored on a Kurtenbach run and a conversion from Kurtenbach to McPhillips.

The Bulldogs ended the game with Kurtenbach with 23 carries for 170 yards rushing with a TD and 2 passing TD’s. Pfiefer had 6 carries for 27 yards, while Tony Klassen had 3 catches for 39 yards and McPhillips 5 catches for 52 yards and 2 touchdowns. Defensively the Bulldogs caused two turnovers. Werner was the leading tackler with 6 tackles and 5 assists and 1 fumble recovery. Tony Klassen 4 tackles and 4 assist tackles. Kurtenbach 2 tackles and 1 assist and 1 fumble recovery.
