Trick-or-Treat for local food pantry
Community service is one of the focus areas for school organizations. Most school organizations have a desire to help the community. In a combined effort, a few NGHS organizations want to give back to the people of Newman Grove. National Honor Society, FCCLA, FFA, and FBLA students will be dressed in their best Halloween costumes collecting food items in Newman Grove on Halloween night from 6-8 pm. If they are not able to get to your house to pick up these items, they will have a box in the office at school, or deliver directly to the community center. Spooks and goblins will be around, so please be generous in supporting the local food pantry!
Suggested food and household items to have on hand are: Canned fruits and meats, soaps and shampoo, tomato products, ketchup, crackers, peanut butter, jelly, toilet tissue, soup, cereal, salad dressing, sugar, flour, cooking oil, juice and breakfast items such as syrup, pancake mix, oatmeal, etc. Other personal items such as winter coats, mittens and hats are also welcomed.
