NG’s 2009-2010 fall sports begin

Volleyball

Cheer/Dance

The Newman Grove Cheer/Dance Team competed at the Grand Island, NCA Cheer/Dance camp and competition. They brought home two trophies, two superior ratings, and the NCA Spirit Stick. With the trophy wins the entire team has qualified to dance in the Disneyland Christmas Extravaganza in Orlando, Florida in December. The parade will be televised on Christmas Day.

Caitlin Bennett was chosen as an NCA All American Nominee in dance and Alisha Dunlap an All American Nominee in cheer motions. They both qualify to dance at the half-time of the University of Hawaii vs Navy football game, in Hawaii, over Thanksgiving.

Those on the Cheer/Dance team are: Tenee’ Kopejtka, Samantha Stone, Caitlin Bennett, Alisha Dunlap, Cristina King, Kendra Nelson, Joan O’Brien and Brittney Weinman and Coach Susan King.
