Claire Barnes was one of three winners for her Drug Awareness Poster submitted at the awards banquet.

Norfolk Elks Lodge holds Awards Banquet

The Norfolk Elks Lodge held its annual awards night on May 4, 2009, where students of all ages participated in various contests.

Fourth grader, Claire Barnes, was among three Newman Grove elementary students whose projects were judged as winners.

An award was also presented to fourth grader, Jacob Potmesil, and fifth grader, Destiny Johnson for Drug Awareness Posters the children had submitted.

The Norfolk Elks also nominated two students to be Teen of the Month each month. As a result of these nominations, Kelsey Wallin was chosen as September 2008’s Teen of the Month, while Darrek Schmidt was chosen as October’s Teen of the Month. WAY TO GO!
