Wallin places at Metro Utility Line Rodeo
College utility line students recently brought home awards from a Utility Line Rodeo hosted by Metropolitan Community College in Omaha.
Andrew Wallin was one of a total of 128 students from nine different colleges from seven states were represented in the competition.
The Northeast team of Andrew Wallin, Newman Grove; Nate Burnison, Laramie, Wyo., Marc Pelster, Petersburg, and Brent Foxhoven, Fremont, placed first in the cross arm change out. Wallin placed fourth individually in that competition.
The next team of Jordan Walsh, Ponca; Cody Hellbusch, Columbus; Brad Christo, Albion, and Tyler Radke, Columbia, Ind., placed third on the written test. Walsh placed first individually in the obstacle course.
The last team of Kyle Ladehoff, Elkhorn; Jared Beltz and Jason Vaisvilas, both of Elgin, and Ethan Hoins, Trumbull, placed second in the cross arm change out, third in obstacle climb, and fourth in overall team competition. Vaisvilas placed third individually in overall competition.
