Class of 2000 wins 2008 Championship

Alumni BB tournament results

It was a great weekend of basketball. Babies in the stands, family members playing each other - and old rivalries were brought to life.

The Championship game was a close one. Class of 2000 eked out a win against the Class of 2006 with a score of 85 - 81.

Champions: Class of 2000; Josh McCloud, Paul Nelson, Aaron Raemakers, Jesse Kaufman, Nathan Nelson, Derek Benson, Mike McWilliams, Chris Farrier.

Second Place: Class of 2006; Ryan Rudloff, Tyler Johnson, Tom O’Brien, Tyler Albracht, Cody Benson, Matt Stone, Chad King, Ed O’Brien.

Those coming the farthest: Brad Kleveland, (Class of 1993) from the California Bay area; Paul Nelson, (Class of 2000) from Los Angeles; and Tony Huerta, (Class of 1976) from Texas.

3-point contest winners: Matt Rudolf for the men, Jamie Wiese for the women.

Interesting notes: Three Huerta brothers played on the same team - Tony, Greg and Andy. Great family spirit!

Scott Lyon was really into it at the Alumni B-Ball tourney.
