NG’s Track Teams start another year!

The Newman Grove Boys and Girls Track & Field Teams opened the 2009 season with an indoor meet at Wayne State College on Friday, March 20, in Wayne, Nebraska.

The Bluejays and Lady Jays gained valuable experience in the 17 Class C and D school meet. No score was kept, but medals were awarded to the top six individuals and relay teams placing in each event.

Newman Grove had two Gold medal winners, one each in the boys and girls division. Sophomore April Ramaekers won the 3200 run in 13 minutes 45 seconds and Senior Luke Gasper captured first place in the pole vault at 9’6”.
