The Newman Grove Grade School (Grades K-6) participated in the American Heart Association’s “Jump Rope For Hearts” Program, this past January and February. Jump Rope Activities were included in Elementary Physical Education classes.
Grades 3-6 students who could go went out and collect donations for the American Heart Association. In exchange students received prizes. This is the 14th year Newman Grove has participated in the “Jump Rope For Hearts” Program.
This year students collected $948.36. The American Heart Association will use this money for research, and to help others less fortunate.
Students who collected donations, on their own time, were Esmeralda Arreguin, Skye Carter, Mya Donelson, Celine Dunlap, William Dyer, Drew Funk, Hannah Haase, Marisol Hernandez, Andy King, Alexis Kopecky, Shyanne McCuiston, Preston Mindt, Abbie Pieke, Caden Ranslem, Alex Robak, Crystal Salinas, William Sanderford, Rebecca Stone, and Emily Strong.
Thanks to the students for their help and thanks to the people who donated money to help the American Heart Association.
